Almost zero job creation. A daring plan for stimulus would have included INCREASED spending on space exploration, rather than what was a short term (1 year?) increase followed by deep cuts (including possibly the JWST.) Ares was a good program. Perfect? No. Expensive? Yes. But think about the thousands of good aerospace jobs lost. If Obama really had a pair, and really cared about science the way he claimed to, he would have challenged us to go to mars by 2020.
