Here at Bayourat Aerospace we report on everything from commercial space launches and interplanetary missions to hobby and amateur rocketry. If it flies on a rocket we want you to know about it!
Sweet. Hypersonics rock!
The high-speed aircraft technology has not improved much since the X15. Either there are classified hypersonic aircraft in use, or more likely, the whole thing was just neglected for a few decades. We are only now limping back into researching them, with some very small tentative steps. Sorry but that is the story from my vantage, maybe a government sponsored video has something different to say! : ) It doesn't seem like atmospheric hypersonic transport was taken very seriously at all. Maybe it is just too hard and costly to make much sense, or maybe it took back seat to space exploration and rocket weapons.
