ISS Deployed 5 Cube Sats. In Honor Of The 55th Anniversary Of Sputnik 1 Launch
Five small CubeSats were deployed from the Japanese Experiment Module onboard the International Space Station on October 4th 2012. This occurred on the 55th anniversary of the first ever launch of a satellite - the Russian Sputnik 1.
